Adds a failure time to an associated ALTADataSet object.

Syntax

.AddFailure(Value, NumberinGroup, ByRef Stress())

.AddFailure(Value, NumberinGroup, Stress1)

.AddFailure(Value, NumberinGroup, Stress1, Stress2)

Parameters

Value

Required. Double. The exact time of failure.

NumberinGroup

Required. Integer. The number of failed units at the time of failure.

Stress()

Required. Object. An array of the numeric stress values or references to an added ALTAStressProfile object.

Stress1

Required. Object. A numeric stress values or reference to an added ALTAStressProfile object.

Stress2

Required. Object. A numeric stress values or reference to an added ALTAStressProfile object.

Example

The following example demonstrates how to add a data set to a ALTADataSet object.

VBA

 'Declare a new ALTADataSet object.
  Dim ADS As New ALTADataSet

 'Define a new stress.
  ADS.AddStressDefinition("Stress1")

'Add failure times to the data set, with stress levels 190, 274 and 438.
  Call ADS.AddFailure(100, 1, 190)
  Call ADS.AddFailure(120, 1, 190)
  Call ADS.AddFailure(130, 1, 190)
  Call ADS.AddFailure(140, 1, 190)
  Call ADS.AddFailure(130, 1, 274)
  Call ADS.AddFailure(150, 1, 274)
  Call ADS.AddFailure(70, 1, 438)
  Call ADS.AddFailure(80, 1, 438)
  Call ADS.AddFailure(85, 1, 438)
  Call ADS.AddFailure(90, 1, 438)
VB.NET

 'Declare a new ALTADataSet object.
  Dim ADS As New ALTADataSet

 'Define a new stress.
  ADS.AddStressDefinition("Stress1")

'Add failure times to the data set, with stress levels 190, 274 and 438.
  ADS.AddFailure(100, 1, 190)
  ADS.AddFailure(120, 1, 190)
  ADS.AddFailure(130, 1, 190)
  ADS.AddFailure(140, 1, 190)
  ADS.AddFailure(130, 1, 274)
  ADS.AddFailure(150, 1, 274)
  ADS.AddFailure(70, 1, 438)
  ADS.AddFailure(80, 1, 438)
  ADS.AddFailure(85, 1, 438)
  ADS.AddFailure(90, 1, 438)
