Use the system hierarchy tree to represent your System.  The hierarchy allows for an unlimited level of indenture. Each tree item can have multiple analyses asssociated with it.
 
Also and in addition to its use within the FMEA realm, it can be leveraged by other Synthesis elements, such as BlockSim, to automatically create fault-trees and RBD’s.

System Hierarchy

Use the system hierarchy tree to represent your system. The hierarchy allows for an unlimited level of indenture. Each tree item can have multiple analyses associated with it. In addition to its use within the FMEA realm, it can be leveraged by other Synthesis elements, such as BlockSim, to automatically create fault trees and RBDs.
